Retailing consists of the sale of goods or merchandise from a fixed location, such as a department store, boutique or kiosk, or by mail, in small or individual lots for direct consumption by the purchaser. Retailing may include subordinated services, such as delivery. Purchasers may be individuals or businesses. In commerce, a "retailer" buys goods or products in large quantities from manufacturers or importers, either directly or through a wholesaler, and then sells smaller quantities to the end-user. Retail establishments are often called shops or stores. Retailers are at the end of the supply chain. Manufacturing marketers see the process of retailing as a necessary part of their overall distribution strategy. The term "retailer" is also applied where a service provider services the needs of a large number of individuals, such as a public utility, like electric power.

Shops may be on residential streets, shopping streets with few or no houses or in a shopping mall. Shopping streets may be for pedestrians only. Sometimes a shopping street has a partial or full roof to protect customers from precipitation. Online retailing, a type of electronic commerce used for business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions and mail order, are forms of non-shop retailing.

Shopping generally refers to the act of buying products. Sometimes this is done to obtain necessities such as food and clothing; sometimes it is done as a recreational activity. Recreational shopping often involves window shopping (just looking, not buying) and browsing and does not always result in a purchase.

What are some decent furniture retailers in london?
Q. I can't count how many times I've looked through the IKEA website! I would appreciate some good suggestions about other retailers I could look at that supply home furniture that isn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, and isn't likely to break down in a few years. (Not John Lewis or Deben-something) Actually that depends whether it's a coat hanger or a bed i'm buying. But overall, just good places (preferably with a website) that sell furniture worth the money. Thanks!!!

Do any online clothing retailers offer catwalk videos of their items?
Q. I like to see videos of the items. Other than Marks & Spenser, does anyone know of any other online fashion retailers that offer catwalk-style videos of their range as well as pictures? Thanks!

What are the best Airsoft retailers in and around North East Massachusetts?
Q. What would you consider to be the best retailers for Airsoft in that location? It doesn't have to be just stores, but points of interest as well. I'd also prefer places that specialize more so in Airsoft (rather than just having it as some small piece of what they sell).

A. I live in MA and im sorry to say that airsoft stores are not abundant. The only walk-in airsoft store is federal airsoft in Belchertown, MA. K-Mart, Wal-Mart, The Bass Pro Shops, and Dick's Sporting Goods are some other places that have some airsoft supplies, but not great stuff. Several army/navy stores or army surplus stores carry airsoft stuff, but it can be costly. There are a few in Boston. Here is the website for federal airsoft: Wal-Mart has a decent stock, but not very high quality: Dick's Sporting Goods is OK, but nothing special:

Arguably the most important pages in your e-commerce store are the product detail pages. You know, the ones with your fancy photos, nice big Add to Cart.
